Designed to eliminate chip blow back into the spindle cavity and extend the life of the vital components that make your machine run. When chips get blown back into the housing of your motor, pulley and belt, unintended wear and tear occurs on these moving parts due to chip intrusion.
Installation will require you to ensure the ATC maintains a .125" clearance as it advances towards the spindle head. There is a recess on the CoverGuard at the location of the ATC motor housing's advancement when in use. Be sure to manually advance the ATC with no air at the machine by hand to ensure this gap is maintained.
